The Celebrate Age Network Coordinator is employed by Dundee Voluntary Action to involve older people in the planning and delivery of services. The project has the following aims:
To promote the involvement of older people in the planning, development, and monitoring of services across different sectors.
To actively pursue consultation/involvement opportunities for older people, by linking them with existing statutory services and resources
To explore how older people, including those who are socially isolated, want to 'have their say',
To build feedback loops for information to be relayed back to older people
To improve socialisation and access to learning opportunities for older people, by enhancing activities and support, where appropriate to the project
As well as supporting the Celebrate Age Network Forum, we have contacts with older people’s groups and services across the city and work directly with departments to improve services. To find out more about the project, call Susan Gunn on 305745 or download our leaflet here.
