Community Safety
Research shows that older people are more likely to be afraid of crime but less likely to be victims of crime. Or group looks at ways for older people to feel safer in their communities.
Dundee Community Safety Network
This network meets once a quarter and is made up of community safety workers and representatives of local community safety groups. The group aims to improve community safety services across Dundee. Our group sends two representatives to this group to make sure that older people’s issues are addressed.
Tayside Police Community Advisory Group
This group meets once a quarter to look at issues that equality groups might have in accessing police services. We send two representatives to raise older people’s issues.
